Finding your ministry in the Vineyard

We believe everyone who knows Jesus Christ has a unique ministry to fulfill in God’s Kingdom. Here at the Vineyard we take time to meet with you, help discover your talents, abilities, training, spiritual drive and spiritual gifts. It’s our intention to assist you in finding the right ministry for God’s call on your life right now. We also provide opportunities for theological and practical training to support your calling, as well as coaching and accountability to assist you in growing stronger as you minister to others.

The Current Top Ministry Needs in the Vineyard February/March 2009

2) Trustee (property care)

7) Office Volunteer

To find out more about these opportunities and other opportunities at the Vineyard, please contact our current Ministry Placement Advisor: David Bielby (Pastor) at the Church office at 309-827-8292.

There are several classes offered.

Vineyard 101
This three-hour class, offered on an as needed basis, introduces the specific vision, beliefs, and core values of our fellowship. During the class, there is an opportunity to dedicate your life to Christ if you have not done so already. You may also choose to make a commitment to being a member of our church at this time.

Vineyard 201
A ten-week discipleship training course that helps the student understand what Jesus commands his followers to do as they commit their life to trusting and oberying Jesus. V201 is the next step after V101.

Vineyard 301
A self-study course on the philosophy of Jesus’ ministry, beginning with His strategy for teaching the Gospel, and applying that plan to LifeGroup ministry.

Vineyard 401
This training course is designed to help LifeGroup Zone Leaders (the people who train and mentor LifeGroup Leaders) understand the main concepts involved with coaching and mentoring future leaders.

We recommend that the Vineyard 101, 201, or 301 classes be given priority over VBI classes. For example, if you have not yet taken V201, and the VBI course on Romans is being offered at the same time, take 201 first.

En-Gedi
En-Gedi is a monthly meeting on Saturday mornings to allow for a time of refreshing and encouragement. En-Gedi is designed to inspire you with the best of the best in ‘Leadership Development’. Often we select the best talks from Willow Creek Association, have a great discussion on the key points of the video, fellowship, and a great breakfast is served.

Vineyard Bible Institute (VBI)
By completing the courses offered by Vineyard Bible Institute, you can earn a Bachelors Degree in Theology. VBI is a partnership with the local church and top Vineyard scholars from around the world working in conjunction with VBI & St. Stephens University (New Brunswick, South Africa). It can be taken individually online, but we will have our own personnel teaching the VBI curriculum live through our church.
