Vineyard Helping Hands
Vineyard Helping Hands ministry’s purpose is to serve and love the local community. VHH gives away around 150 cases of groceries each month. This usually occurs on the first Tuesday morning of each month. Doors open at 8:00 AM and much of the food is gone by 10:00 AM. Come early, even in the cold weather or you will miss out on the finer items. The doors close by noon. It is quite a sight. If you have never witnessed this, we encourage you to volunteer as a helper on the first Tuesday morning of each month. You will never forget the experience!
Also, every Friday morning Panera bread, bagels and a few pastries are given away.
The monthly food/toiletries distribution is scheduled for the Tuesday after the first Monday of month.
The bread give-away is every Friday morning.
Financial Contributions are always welcome. This fund is used to further VHH and to provide assistance to qualified individuals who apply for aid through VHH. Direct cash is never given. We do help people (as funds are available) with heating, rent and other assistance.
To contribute to VHH simply make checks payable to Vineyard and mark VHH in the memo.
Clothing and other donations must be negotiated with the onsite Vineyard Helping Hands workers because we do not have a receiving dock or storeage room to store goods. Therefore we do not offer a drop off site. Please talk to our VHH director, Xystus Corlley for more information. He is available through the Church office on Mondays. If you need help, please contact VHH for an appointment to apply for help (only on Mondays at this time) with Xystus.
If you have received aid from VHH in the past, we encourage you to contribute towards this ministry once you are able so that others can benefit from this wonderful ministry also.
